| Turkish traders to visit Pakistan - Oct 01, 2011 19:25:27 |
LAHORE – Pakistan and Turkey have very deep rooted diplomatic and economic relations, however, the volume of the trade and investment is very low. This was stated by Chief Executive of Pak Turk Businessmen Association (PTBA) Sadi Yildirir during a press conference held on Wednesday. He said that the current volume of the mutual trade is around $1 billion.
Pak Turk Businessmen Association is trying to double it and (PTBA) is striving for the promotion of business, trade and investment relations between Pakistan, Turkey and rest of the world by taking the practical and solid steps, he added. That is why after a successful business tour and meetings with main Turkish businesspersons, traders and investors there in Turkey the PTBA has decided to take some practical steps for the boost of business. It has invited 40 members leading Turkish businessmen, traders and investors delegation to Lahore from all the main business sectors. They are the CEO’s and owners of world’s leading companies and firms. A high level Turkish businesspersons delegation will be in Lahore from 30th September to 3rd October 2011. He said that the government of Punjab and the Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif himself is taking keen interest and patronizing this event.
